Bonar first began to practice and study yoga over eighteen years ago.
Drawn to the physical and psychological benefits of yoga, his commitment to his daily practice and exploration into yogic philosophy inspired him to become a yoga teacher.
Bonar qualified as a teacher in 2002, having studied for two years at The Edinburgh Iyengar Yoga Centre. In 2006 he gained his Intermediate Junior Level 1 Certificate.
Over the years he has studied with many well known international advanced and senior teachers. In July '06 he studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India. At present he is working to complete his Intermediate Junior certification.
In 2005 Bonar and his partner Mak ran the first Yogasarvasya holiday abroad at Molino del Rey in southern Spain. There are two more holidays scheduled for 2007.
In August 2006 Bonar and Mak opened Yogasarvasya Studio in Partick in the West End of Glasgow.
